Devan Erby

Devan Erby is the President of Ethika Music in Lake Forest, California, a record label that prides itself on signing the artists that the music industry overlooks. He is a graduate of Saginaw Valley State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree. A native of Detroit, Mr. Erby faced many obstacles on his way to success, but he used his motto, “Chances Make Champions,” which inspired him to risk everything and focus on the future.

Working with Matt Cook (CEO) and the label’s vision was a very deliberate move on the part of Mr. Erby. His goal was and is to become to others what he needed as a child—a mentor, provider of opportunities, confidence builder, and supporter to help build a brighter tomorrow. With the help and education from record executive and mentor Damon Dash, he was able to reach back to previously overlooked talent and sign more than 200 budding artists who might not have otherwise had an opportunity.
